Taking online bookings with Room Angel

The Lakes Hospitality Association website (www.lakeshospitality.co.uk) will soon switch to Room Angel for it's full directory service. To this end, ALL members need to register and add their details to Room Angel and tick the LHA box whilst filling in the forms.

It shouldn't take long and if you need help, please email info@roomangel.co.uk or info@lakeshospitality.co.uk for assistance.

There are 3 choices for you:

1. Advertise only - for free! Generate enquiries but don't take an online booking;
2. Take confirmed bookings - recommended - this is what research shows as what the customer wants;
3. Take provisional bookings - if double booking is an issue, then you can get back to the customer within 24 hours to confirm.

Taking bookings will be free until the end of 2008 and then a small commission of £1 per room/unit booked per night will be invoiced to you by RoomAngel Ltd.

The directory will prioritise people who take online bookings as our market research shows that customers are looking to do this online. The listings will therefore show those taking confirmed bookings (in random order), followed by those taking provisional bookings (in random order), followed by those who just want to gain enquiries (in random order).

What will Room Angel bring to the LHA?

1. Customers will be able to search for accommodation by date and be presented with randomised lists to choose from;

2. Room Angel will show your website as "More Information" should you wish - even if you sign up to online bookings! We know that most customers will Google your business anyway so we may as well make it easy for them to find your website! This is a big plus for people searching for accommodation!

3. It now caters for self-catering!

4. Low booking fees at £1 per room/unit booked per night;

5. Have control over your fixed length stays and daily tariffs - just click a button to show as a special offer!

6. It's secure! You can also assign other users;

7. Inline help within the whole booking system - just hover if you get stuck to see some advice;

8. It's still quick and easy for the customer to book a room - and now a self-catering unit!

9. Using the latest Web 2.0 technology, we will be adding more websites using the same data - expect LHA walking, pet friendly, and other niche websites next year! You can also add the booking system to your own website! Therefore - you will only need to update Room Angel and that will update your own website, the LHA website and all the new websites we introduce - both through the LHA, nationally and internationally!

10. Whether you're taking bookings or advertising only, you can show your rooms with a picture and description - and let people book or enquire about that room. Larger establishments can share the same description across rooms.

Joining is free! You can remove yourself at any time should you wish. Bookings are free for 2008! Then only £1 per room/unit booked per night!

This is a new directory for the LHA - it will be searched via availability and people will want to see room availability (just like walking down a street and seeing vacancy signs). Please add your stock ASAP so we can start promoting you!
